Vritramon is the beast spirit derived from the legendary warrior of flame, AncientGreymon. Compared to Agnimon he has a lot more fire as his disposal, is much larger and has metallic armour. Vritramon's special attacks revolve around the use of flame. He is able to set himself on fire as well as using the cannons below his arms to expose his flames against his enemies.

Appearance

Vritramon best resembles an armoured, humanoid dragon with beast characteristics.

Head: His head contains an encased mask, with several horns on the top of mask. Blue eyes are visible through his mask.

Body: He has a black suit under his armour. The armour plating he wears (on his breast and below his waist) are red, with yellow ridges. He has a long red dragon-like tail with yellow ring patterns.

Hands: His hands are dragon like claws. He has armour plates around his arms and has a cannon (shaped like a kite) on each arm for his pyro barrage attack.

Legs: He has large armour platings around his legs. A symbol is embedded on his thigh plates. Another armour plate below his knee include several crests embedded closely which act as his knee pads. His large feet have two claws on the front and one at the back.

History

Vritramon made his first appearance in Episode #11 - A Hunka Hunka BurningGreymon. Grottomon had attacked the Fortune Teller Village. During the battle the beast spirit engulfed Shamanmon and he turned into an uncontrollable Vritramon. Agunimon was able to separate the beast spirit from Shamanmon, but the beast spirit then took control over Takuya, turning him into Vritramon. Takuya couldn't control his beast spirit and despite his attempts, he hurt the other Digidestined in the process.

Later on however, Tomoki was able to convince Takuya not to be afraid. Grottomon ambushed the Digidestined once again, and kidnapped Tomoki as a way to provoke Takuya. When he digivolved into Vritramon, he was no longer afraid and easily defeated Gigasmon, causing him to devolve back to Grottomon. Unfortunately, he escaped before Vritramon could finish him off.

With the cannons below his arms, Vritramon fires a barrage of pyro projectiles towards his enemy.

Flame Storm ( フレイムストーム )
(Dub name: Wildfire Tsunami)

Vritramon sets himself on fire and spins around, causing a tsunami of flame to spin towards the enemy.
