Shutumon is the beast spirit derived from the legendary Digimon warrior of wind, AncientIrismon and was inherited by Izumi Orimoto. Like Fairymon, she isn't as strong as the other evolutions, in this case the beast spirit evolutions. However she again makes up for this in beauty, elegance and extremely fast agility. Her attacks take a departure away from the physical attacks exhibited by Fairymon towards a series of more powerful elemental attacks.

Appearance

Shutumon resembles a deadly female ninja, with her sharp determined looks. She has a pair of long brown and light wings which she uses for her versatile movement.

Hair: Light blue, shaped into a pair of feathered wings.

Head: Shutumon has light blue eyes. A long black scarf is worn around her neck which hangs down behind her legs.

Body: Like Fairymon, her outfit resembles female lingerie. It is light pink and purple, and consists of metal shoulder pads, a bra, underwear, and face mask which is made up of the very same soft material. The mask covers her neck and mouth, leaving only her eyes exposed, resembling a ninja. Her skin is more tanned and darker as opposed to Fairymon's.

Hands: Unlike Fairymon, Shutumon's hands are metal claws. The metal extends from her hands up to her elbows on each arm. The symbol for the legendary beast warrior of wind is embedded on each hand. The metal extends just past her elbows. She wears light purple and pink material worn around her arms which is part of her outfit, attached to her bra.

Legs: She wears tight light pink and purple stockings that are attached to the rest of her outfit by a piece of thread on each leg. Metal knee pads are part of the stockings, and her feet have three talons on each foot.

History

Shutumon made her first appearance in Episode #16 - The Swiss Family Digimon. The Digidestined had decided to help the Gomamon rescue their friends and family on the other side of the island by building a raft. However Ranamon appeared from the water and ambushed the raft. Izumi digivolved into Fairymon and attempted to stop Ranamon but her energy became drained from Ranamon's attacks and she fell down into a whirlpool. As she sunk deeper and deeper, she found the beast spirit of wind inside a clam.

Izumi was able to control her beast spirit without any trouble, as opposed to the others. Junpei's reaction to Izumi's new evolution caused Tomoki to be somewhat annoyed at him. Ranamon then slide evolved into Calmaramon and was able to prevent her from moving by using her tentacles. With the help of the Digidestined through insulting Calmaramon however, she released her grip and Shutumon was able to counter back. Calmaramon attempted to counter back against Shutumon but she was unable to control her beast spirit, causing her to leave the scene.

Shutumon creates a powerful gale of wind with her arms, and aims it directly towards the enemy. The blast and sharp feel of the wind greatly damages her foe.

Gilgamesh Slicer ( ギルガメッシュスライサー )
(Dub name: Plasma Pods)

Shutumon pushes her knees back against her chest and crosses her arms on top of her knees together. She then gathers energy with her hands and feet. She then stands up straight in the air, and flies towards her enemy, releasing the energy upon impact, creating a powerful blow.
