Grottomon is the human spirit derived from the legendary warrior of earth, AncientVolcamon. He tends to have an aggressive attitude, taunts his enemies a lot and is able to burrow deep within the ground quickly. Furthermore he can summon the help of the Golemon by opening a small bottle and releasing its contents.

Appearance

Grottomon best resembles a gnome. He wears a mahogany coloured long hat with a belt around it. At the end of the hat is a dark purple ball hanging from it.

Head: The symbol for the legendary warrior of Earth is embedded on his large nose. He has green eyes and pointy ears.

Body: He wears a vest which is dark purple and has the symbol for the legendary warrior of Earth embedded on front. He wears dark purple shoulder pads with grey ridges. His skin is caramel brown coloured. Underneath his best he wears maroon and mahogany coloured shirt and pants.

Hands: He has a symbol on each arm.

Legs: He has dark purple knee pads with grey ridges, with a small cone sticking out on top. He wears a pair of dark brown shoes with dark purple armour pads on the front of each shoe.

History

Grottomon made his first appearance in Episode #06 - A Molehill out of a Mountain. The Digidestined were enlisted by the KaratsukiNumemon to help rescue their wives and children from Grottomon. They then thought that the Digidestined were allies of Grumblemon, but shortly after they realised they were wrong. Grottomon revealed his beast spirit Gigasmon and then digitised the mountain's fractal code. The Digidestined then fell down, being separated in two different places through two holes. He was eventually defeated by Bolgmon in Episode #14 - No Whamon.

Grottomon simply pulls out one or two jackhammers and hits his enemy or the ground to make it crack. These jackhammers are extendable at his will, allowing him to attack even further if desired.
