Gigasmon is the beast spirit derived from the legendary warrior of earth, AncientVolcamon. He relies on brute strength to get his way, and has a very violent and sadistic attitude.

Appearance

Gigasmon best resembles an ogre of some sort.

Head: A large nose, with brown eyes. He has several horns on his head.

Body: His skin is beige and brown, with horns throughout his body, back and shoulders.

Hands: He has extremely large hands and fists. The symbol of the legendary beast spirit of earth is embedded on his hands. He has horns which act as knuckles on his hands, as well as on his arms.

Legs: He has three toes with horns on each knee.

History

Gigasmon made his first appearance in Episode #06 - A Molehill out of a Mountain. During the KaratsukiNumemon hostage situation, Grottomon slide evolved to Gigasmon and further caused more havoc, which overwhelmed the Digidestined's human spirits. He then consumed the fractal code from the mountain, destroying the KaratsukiNumemons' homes in the process.

He then made his next appearance by ambushing the Digidestined in Episode #10 - Can't Keep a Grottomon Down. Agnimon, Fairymon, Blitzmon and Chakkumon tried to counter back the ambush but ended up getting severely wounded. Fairymon was hit during an attempt to save Chakkumon from getting his spirit stolen by Gigasmon. She succeeded in getting Chakkumon out of harm's way, but she fully exposed herself to Gigasmon's punch. Breathless and in full pain, Fairymon's spirit was then exposed and subsequently stolen by Gigasmon.

He then attempted to ambush the Digidestined again at the Fortune Teller's village. Again the Digidestined tried to counter back but weren't able to, with Fairymon not being available and Kouji having been immobilised by Grottomon, the ambush was working well for him. In the process he was able to injure Chakkumon severely with his Hurricane Bomber attack, exposing his spirit and stealing it in the process.

Once again he attempted to ambush the Digidestined again not far from the village. He was however easily defeated by Vritramon. Gigasmon's beast spirit was taken away by Vritramon. He also recovered the spirit of ice for Tomoki. However Grottomon escaped before he could retrieve the spirit of wind for Izumi. Later on Bolgmon defeated Grottomon, and recovered the spirit of wind for Izumi.

Gigasmon extends his arms straight and spins around quickly, creating a very large and powerful twister.

Earthquake ( アースクエイク )
(Dub name: Tectonic Slam)

Gigasmon bends his back and hands back and jumps high up in the air. As he lands back down, he slams the ground hard with the force of his fists and fall.
