Garmmon is the beast spirit derived from the legendary warrior of light, AncientGarurumon. He is more mobile and quicker than Wolfmon with the addition of wheels and metallic wings. Garmmon's special attacks revolve around using the blades or wings attached on his back as well as firing general energy attacks towards his enemies.

Appearance

Garmmon best resembles a robotic wolf, on wheels, with wings to help him go faster.

Head: He has a white plate with yellow ridges and violet stripes that covers the top of his head, with two ears on top. He has a violet coloured jaw and yellow eyes.

Body: The rest of his body has white plates with violet stripes and yellow ridges attached everywhere. On his back are two yellow blades or wings which retract during his howling star attack. He has a large horn attached on his breast. A short tail is visible too.

Hands: He has three yellow claws attached to his hands.

Legs: The same armour plating found throughout his body is also found on his legs. A silver bracing around his legs with a wheel attached can be found too. The wheels retract during his speed star attack.

History

Garmmon made his first appearance in Episode #10 - Can't Keep a Grumblemon Down. After the Digidestined got ambushed by Grumblemon and his other form Gigasmon, Wolfmon became severely injured from battle. However, Gotsumon was able to distract Gigasmon long enough for Kouji to insert a jewel into a monument for the beast spirit of light to awaken. When he did that, the three monuments rotated and the beast spirit of light appeared before him.

When Kouji digivolved into Garmmon he had trouble controlling his beast spirit, and this caused him to ram himself into large rocks several times. He did not harm any of the other Digidestined in the process however. Out of rage, he then attacked Gigasmon. His attacks were enough to knock Gigasmon off a large cliff.

Special Attacks

Speed Star (スピードスター )
(Dub name: Howling Star)

Garmmon often uses this attack to gain speed. He positions his wings, and lowers his wheels. He then thrusts towards the enemy, often cutting nearby trees with his wings.

Solar Laser ( ソーラーレーザー )
(Dub name: Lupine Laser)

Garmmon's mouth opens, and small beams of laser are fired towards the enemy. A huge lupine laser is fired towards his enemy.
