Fairymon is the human spirit derived from the legendary Digimon warrior of wind, AncientIrismon and was inherited by Izumi Orimoto. Though she is not as strong when compared to the other human hybrids, she makes up for this through beauty and elegance. Her wings allow her to fly, which enhance both her movement and attacks.

Appearance

Neemon once called Fairymon a human butterfly! Needless to say, she resembles a fairy.

Hair: Very long and purple. It extends down behind her legs in a ponytail fashion with two strands in front of her face.

Head: A special visor is worn around her eyes. Four green stripes on each corner are visible on her face. She wears a headband which also wraps clothing around her neck and shoulders which is part of her outfit. On her headband, a pair of small wings are attached over her ears.

Body: Her outfit resembles female lingerie. It is lavender, and consists of double layered white shoulder pads, a strapless bra, belt, and underwear which is also part of the headband and clothing around her neck.

Hands: She wears a pair of tight pink gloves and on top of that, a pair of white and purple gloves with a pair of wings attached to each glove.

Legs: A pair of thigh high boots with a pale green butterfly pattern embedded on them are worn. A pair of wings on each boot near the bottom can be found. From the top of the boots is a flexible thread connected to her belt, part of her outfit.

History

Fairymon made her first appearance in Episode #04 - Kazemon Kicks It. The Mushroomon had attacked the Floramon's Village, who eventually attacked Junpei after he insulted the villains. Izumi's spirit then awoke from a nearby tree hollow. She was able to defeat the Mushroomon but got defeated after they digivolved to Woodmon.

Izumi lost her spirit in Episode #09 - Can't Keep a Grumblemon Down when Gigasmon ambushed the Digidestined. During the ambush, Chakkumon had suffered severe damage from Gigasmon's attack and his fractal code became visible. Gigasmon attempted to steal Chakkumon's spirit, but Fairymon pushed him away from Gigasmon's reach. As a result however, she fully exposed herself to Gigasmon's attack and became severely injured. Her spirit was then stolen after Fairymon's fractal code and spirit became visible.

Junpei was able to retrieve Izumi's spirit back from Grottomon, after defeating him using his beast spirit, Bolgmon. Fairymon does not actually defeat any villains herself until Episode #26 - Zoe's Unbeelievable Adventure. Her first victory was against Ranamon, within Sefirotmon. After overcoming the bitter fear she experienced with her friends back in the human world, she was able to defeat Ranamon with ease.

Special Attacks

Brezzo Petalo ( ブレッザ・ペタロ )
(Dub name: Hurricane Wave)

Fairymon raises her hands to harness the power of wind with her fingertips. She then lowers her hands down hard and quickly, releasing the wind attack towards her enemy. This is Fairymon's only ranged attack.

Tornado Gamba ( トルナード・ガンバ )
(Dub name: Tempest Twist)

Fairymon falls onto her hands and stands upside down with her legs straight up. She then spreads her legs across. Using her hands she spins around, swiveling her legs around quickly, allowing her to give her enemy a powerful continuous kicking attack.

Doppio Perforare ( ドッピオ・パフォーラレ )
(Dub name: Tornado Kick)

Fairymon clenches her fists and balances her arms whilst giving a flurry of kicks or stomps towards her foe. She can only do this attack whilst flying in the air.

Arido Anca ( エリッドハグ )
(Dub name: Love Tap)

Fairymon bumps her bottom onto her foe directly, which infatuates her foe rendering him or her defenceless for a short period of time. On weaker foes, it inflicts moderate damage from the force of her attack.
