Cherubimon ( ケルビモン )

Cherubimon was one of the three Celestial Digimon angels whose role were to protect the peace of the Digital World. Each of the angels were given specific responsibilities, and Cherubimon's responsibility was to chronicle the events of the Digital World. He was given the spirits of Darkness, Earth, Steel, Water and Wood to guard. Cherubimon's attacks in his corupted form are based on red plasma energy shaped into lightning bolts. He also has the ability to manipulate gravity and weather.

Appearance

As Cherubimon has been corrupted by evil, his appearance is quite simply the opposite from what he was before. From white and pink, to dark purple and indigo.

Head: Yellow eyes, and a indigo star-like mane around his neck. He then has another smaller star-like mane on top of that which is dark purple. He also has two floppy like ears with small holes in them.

Body: He has dark green shoulder pads which extend down the middle of his chest with a white outline around it.

Hands: His large hands are dark purple, with four claws and one thumb-like claw.

Legs: Dark purple legs, with two flaps hanging from his thighs.

History

Cherubimon developed a personal dislike towards Seraphimon and Ofanimon believing that they were working against him as they were both human type Digimon. He believed the laws suited only the human type Digimon and were unfair to the beast type Digimon.

Eventually he was corrupted by the evil darkness. Slowly he succumbed from being a vaccine type to a virus type Digimon. His heart was filled with hatred and he rallied all the Digimon that rose up to his cause, corrupting them with evil in the process. He and all his followers attacked the castle Seraphimon and Ofanimon were in on the balcony. Cherubimon threw a lightning bolt which hit Seraphimon, injuring him severely. As he fell into Ofanimon's arms, and told Cherubimon she would do whatever he wanted provided no more harm was done to Seraphimon. He imprisoned Seraphimon in his castle, and took Ofanimon hostage with him at the Rose Morning Star.

Eventually the Digidestined were able to defeat Cherubimon at the Rose Morning Star, with the help of Ofanimon upgrading Takuya and Kouji's D-Tectors, which allowed them to digivolve into KaiserGreymon and MagnaGarurumon. Later on, Patamon was able to find Cherubimon's Digi-egg, and it hatched into Lopmon. In their final battle, Lopmon along with Salamon and Patamon projected illusions of Cherubimon, Ofanimon and Seraphimon giving them support and morale.

Cherubimon summons a thunder cloud which drops several lightning bolts towards his enemies, creating a devastating attack across a wide area.

Thousand Spears ( ライトニングスピア )
(Dub name: Lightning Spear)

Cherubimon lines up several lightning spears and throws them at his enemy. These spears are extremely deadly, able to cause major damage.
