Calmaramon is the beast spirit derived from the legendary warrior of water, AncientMermaimon. She is a drastic change from Ranamon in terms of appearance. As a result several fan clubs of her had changed their impression towards Ranamon. Calmaramon relies on acid attacks and brute force, due to her larger size and nature.

Appearance

Calmaramon best resembles a squid-like sea monster.

Hair: Violet coloured hair.

Head: She wears a grey coloured hat, which may be part of her. It has light purple jewels embedded in it.

Body: Her skin is of a light purple colour. Around her neck she wears a yellow cuffing. The shell she resides in has several yellow eyes, and the rest of the shell is predominately white with red, indigo and violet patterns embedded on it. Along the side are purple fins. On top are nine tentacles, though she only uses the two large ones for attacking her enemy. They are violet on top, and white underneath. The big tentacles have bigger spikes than the smaller ones.

Hands: She wears two yellow cuffings around each wrist of her arms. Her arms are the same grey shade as her head.

History

Calmaramon made her first appearance in Episode #15 - Beastie Girl as Ranamon's beast spirit form. After Fairymon defended herself against Ranamon's attacks she found her beast spirit. She was able to hurt Fairymon easily, and slammed her hard onto the beach. She was about to finish Fairymon off but lost control whilst trying to use her Titanic Tempest attack.

With the next ambush Izumi had found her beast spirit too. Calmaramon had almost defeated Shutumon too with her acid attacks and by binding her tightly with her tentacles. However the Digidestined distracted her with insults, and Shutumon countered back. Calmaramon was about to counter back too with her Titanic Tempest attack but again she lost control.

In her final ambush against Izumi within Sefirotmon, Calmaramon once again was almost able to defeat Shutumon by binding her tightly with her tentacles and with the use of her acid attacks. Calmaramon became a lot more aggressive and skilled in battle. This time her Titanic Tempest attack did not lose control and she was able to do a lot more damage than done earlier. However she was defeated by Shutumon with a come back from her special attacks.

Calmaramon spits out acid onto her enemy, which is capable of burning right through rocks easily.

Titanic Charge ( タイタニックチャージ )
(Dub name: Titanic Tempest)

Calmaramon withdraws into her shell. She then raises herself high up in the air with the aid of her tentacles and spins around as fast as a drill. The impact against her enemy inflicts massive damage.
