Blitzmon is the human spirit derived from the legendary warrior of thunder, AncientBeetmon. His larger size and armoured shell allows him to inflict massive damage whilst withstanding a lot of damage himself. Like Fairymon, he can fly with his wings though not as agile and fast as she can.

Appearance

Beetlemon resembles an armoured human beetle.

Head: He has a dark blue and yellow helmet that covers the top of his head. A stalk is attached to his helmet. He has green eyes.

Body: Beetlemon has massive shoulder plates, which consist of navy blue as the main colour, with horns on each shoulder. The plates have gold ridges on the end. On his body, he wears a breast plate, with it being navy blue and the middle being yellow. Underneath his armour he wears a brown suit. Around his waist he wears a navy blue belt with gold ridges. He has large navy blue wings, based on a beetle's shape of wings.

Hands: Navy blue and yellow armour around his hands. He also has a bracing around his arm which starts from his hand and ends just past his elbow. A cross pattern is embedded on top of his wrist.

Legs: Navy blue and yellow armour around his legs, with yellow hexagon shaped kneepads. The symbol for the legendary warrior of thunder is embedded on a brace around his thighs.

History

Beetlemon made his first appearance in Episode #05 - Ladies and Gentlemen, the Beetlemon. During the attack against the Wind Factory to free the Kokuwamon, Junpei felt left out without a spirit. Feeling remorseful he decided to go in and offer his help to the others. Junpei managed to offer his help by attacking the leader, Snimon with a nearby crane. He countered back however and destroyed the crane. A metal cylinder then broke open, revealing his spirit.

When Junpei digivolved into Beetlemon he was happy at first and danced after finally getting his spirit. As the fight continued, Blitzmon was able to hurt Snimon quite easily. Snimon's elemental attacks had no damaging effect on Beetlemon, and he was able to finish Snimon off with ease.

Beetlemon raises his hands in the air and gathers lightning. He then clenches his hands together behind his back and moves towards his enemy. He then slams his hands against his enemy, electrocuting his enemy as well as delivering a physical blow.

Mjolnir Thunder ( ミョルニルサンダー )
(Dub name: Lightning Blitz)

Beetlemon raises his hand as lightning then gathers through his hand. He then moves quickly and delivers a smashing blow towards the enemy. Alternatively, he hits the ground and lets the electricity take its course towards his enemy.
